Wednesday, June 12, 2024, The Town of Fort Myers Beach was notified that Governor DeSantis approved the Fiscal Year 2025 State Budget. In that budget, the Town of Fort Myers Beach is to receive $8 million for the purchase of 6231 Estero Boulevard, to be used as the new Town Hall, and $7,547,805 for revenue replacement.
Thursday, June 20, 2024, Town Manager Andy Hyatt signed a grant agreement with the Florida Department of Commerce in order to receive the funding from the FY25 State Budget. This agreement allows the Town to utilize the approved funding from July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2027.
