Bay Oaks Ballfield Grand Re-Opening

(Re-Scheduled)

on Wednesday, October 25 at 4 p.m.

This event was initially scheduled for August 28, 2023, but it was postponed due to the possibility of severe weather.

Now, it will be held on Wednesday, October 25 at 4 p.m., beginning with kids registration for a clinic. The first 75 kids get a free T-shirt! Field Dedication is at 5:00 p.m., with the clinic to follow.

We are excited to welcome MLB and Scott’s and are thankful to them and 7-11 for the $75,000 in donations to restore the fields.

Thanks also to Beach Talk Radio for live streaming!

Our heartiest shoutout goes to the Town’s Public Works and Parks and Rec teams, Jason Clark of ICS Materials and several community members who worked so hard in the blazing heat and sun to finish the field and continue to maintain it!

FDEM

Houses of worship urged to apply for public assistance.

Florida Division of Emergency Management (Division) encouraged eligible houses of worship to apply for FEMA Public Assistance ahead of the October 30 deadline.

Houses of worship are considered private, nonprofit organizations as they provide an essential social services to disaster-impacted areas. This specific category of nonprofits must submit a loan through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Assistance program before applying for FEMA Public Assistance. Houses of worship are not required to take out a loan, but FEMA will not fund repairs unless an SBA loan application has been denied or does not cover the permanent work costs.

For more information on public assistance for houses of worship, email: fema-dr-4734-flhousesofworship@fema.dhs.gov.
