Town Events

Fourth of July

The Town hosts a fireworks show that begins at 9 p.m. and lasts for 20 minutes. The fireworks are launched from the end of the Pier (Lee County's Lynn Hall Memorial Park & Pier) by Times Square.

Traffic is typically heavy for this event as is the demand for parking, especially in the Downtown District/Times Square/Pier areas. The Town has several hundred public spaces and there are some paid commercial parking lots. Read the Town's parking information. Paying for parking in Town spaces is easy with the Passport parking app.

Another option: consider riding the Lee Tran Trolley

And another option: consider watching the fireworks from one of the Town's 26 beach accesses that are spread along Estero Boulevard toward the South end of the Island.

And yet another option: Consider anchoring your vessel at Matanzas Harbor Mooring Field and enjoying the show from Estero Bay. Reserve your spot.

Matanzas Pass Bridge closes starting at 9 p.m. to oncoming traffic. Opening is subject to the direction of the Lee County Sheriff and traffic detail.

Big Carlos Pass Bridge on the south end of Estero Island remains open throughout.

PLEASE NOTE: To protect our beautiful beach environment and keep everyone and their properties safe: Per Town ordinance, personal fireworks displays ARE NOT PERMITTED.

The Town's social media outlets have up-to-the-minute information as needed.
